The latvian names databank houses a compilation of unique names and associated calendar dates [namedays] gleaned from Latvian Nameday Calendars published between 1958 and 1989. Presently the databank includes 1153 unique names.

[137 names have two namedays; 2 names have 3 namedays]

Namedays are weaved from a history of religious traditions, ethnical folklore, and cultural geographies of changing times.

Latvian names are gender specific.
