Schoolcraft - Battle of the Books

TEAMS

Teams will consist of 6 students in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.
Although most team members are from Schoolcraft and Vicksburg schools, there is no ruling that students from other schools may not participate.
Teams may consist of any combination of 4th, 5th or 6th graders with the exception that no one team may have more than four 6th graders.
Teams of at least 5 team members must be registered by the posted registration date. (NOTE: A 6th team member or alternate team members may be added after the team registration date, as long as these additional changes are made on or before the last date posted for substitutions.)
Each team should choose a writer and speaker(s) before the day of "battle". The writer is responsible for writing the author and answer the day of battle, so it should be someone who has legible handwriting and can spell correctly. The speaker can be one person or several team members may take turns going to the microphone during the "battle" when it is their team's turn to answer.
Each team may choose a captain as well, and that person's name should be turned in by the posted December date. If your team decides not to have a captain, they should still choose someone to be responsible for making final decisions on answers the day of battle when all team members do not agree upon an answer.
